Pedro is a partner at Guerrero Olivos and a leads the the mining, venture capital, international funds and private equity departments. He is also a member of the corporate and M&A, capital markets and agribusiness practice areas. He specialises in mining project development, project finance, the corporate structuring and financing of mining projects, as well as mining agreements and regulatory matters such as environmental permits.

In regard to venture capital, he represents domestic and foreign VC investors, start-ups, CVC funds and incubators in the legal structuring of funds or investment vehicles, in the development and execution of internationalisation plans, international M&A VC transactions, and in funding rounds. In addition, he works actively in structuring investment funds and representing both Chilean and international fund managers.

Pedro is a board member of several companies and associations: he is a board member of Fundación Chilena del Pacífico, Administradora Mater, Administradora Bridge, Empresa Eléctrica Blanco, Aaktei Energía S.A., Lácteos Matthei, Torq Resources Chile and Colegio San Lorenzo. He is also a member of the Mining Committee of CESCO, the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and ACAFI (Chilean Association of Investment Fund Administrators).

In the academic area, he was professor of the course “Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital” of the Master of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has been lecturer in several law activities related to mining and venture capital and was professor of “Law in Asia”, and “Law and Investment in Asia”, both at Universidad Diego Portales and professor of Chinese Law at Universidad de Chile.
