Guerrero Olivos Appoints Four New Partners

Guerrero Olivos has promoted Sergio Fuica Gutiérrez (Labour), Tomás Garnham Oyarzún (Labour), Diego Morandé Montt (Intellectual Property, Data Protection and Cybersecurity) and Diego Rodríguez Ariztía (Corporate/M&A) to partner, effective January 2026.

These appointments reflect a strategic decision by the firm aimed at strengthening key practice areas critical to Guerrero Olivos’ development in the coming years, particularly Corporate/M&A, Labour and Employment, and Intellectual Property, Data Protection and Cybersecurity, in light of clients’ current needs.

The four new partners are graduates of leading Chilean universities and hold LL.M. degrees obtained in Chile or abroad. Each is actively involved in various internal committees that contribute to guiding the firm’s day-to-day operations, and all have been with Guerrero Olivos for several years.

  • Sergio Fuica is a member of the firm’s Marketing Committee and specializes in labour litigation, fundamental rights protection, and collective bargaining. He has a distinguished academic career as a professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad del Desarrollo and currently serves as a director of the Chilean Society of Labour and Social Security Law.
  • Tomás Garnham has participated for several years in the Guerrero Olivos’ Pro Bono Committee, work of particular relevance to the firm, which was recognized in 2025 by Fundación Pro Bono as “Law Firm of the Year.” He specializes in labour and employment law, due diligence, collective bargaining, and employment litigation. He also serves as a lecturer in various postgraduate diploma programs at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Universidad del Desarrollo.
  • Diego Morandé is a member of the firm’s Technology Committee and, in addition to leading the Intellectual Property practice, is part of the Data Protection, New Technologies and Cybersecurity department, as well as the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice.

Additionally, he is a founding partner and director of the Chilean Association of Personal Data Protection and is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI).
  • Diego Rodríguez has developed his professional career in the Corporate, M&A and Capital Markets areas, with a focus on foreign investment, investment funds and corporate law. He previously served as an international associate at Morrison Foerster in Miami and is a member of Guerrero Olivos’ Business Development Committee.

“We are very pleased to continue growing and to recognize the outstanding work of lawyers who have developed their professional careers at Guerrero Olivos for many years,” said Juan Enrique Allard, Principal Partner of the firm.

Following these promotions, Guerrero Olivos now has 25 partners and 75 associates.
