On June 5, 2024, Supreme Decree No. 70 dated November 24, 2023 (“DS No. 70”) was published
in the Official Gazette. This decree amends Supreme Decree No. 62, the Capacity Transfer Regulation
(“Amendment to the Capacity Regulation”), and the decrees indicated therein.
Among the central aspects of DS No. 70 is the update and harmonization of current regulations, aimed
at promoting the development of Energy Storage Systems (“SAESAE”, by its acronym in Spanish) in
Chile by providing regulatory certainties and signals for investment in such projects.
