Guillermo is a partner and Head of the Tax practice. He has more than 25 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on tax matters, foreign investment, international trade and the structuring of complex corporate transactions. His practice focuses on the design and implementation of tax-efficient structures for investment projects, financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and cross-border transactions.
Prior to joining Guerrero Olivos, Guillermo was a partner at Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU), where he practised from 2010.
In addition to his legal practice, Guillermo has had an extensive academic career. He has served as Professor of Tax Law and Tax Treaty Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Academic Director of the Graduate Tax Law Programs at Universidad del Desarrollo, and lecturer in various master’s and postgraduate tax law programs at Universidad del Desarrollo and Universidad de Chile.
